Tonight at 19:45 at Hamburg, Germany Atletico Madrid and Fulham will play against each other for the UEFA Europa League Final trophy of 2009-2010 season. There is no need to discuss the distinction the winner will receive as this is the second most important European title after Champions league trophy. One thing is certain; both teams will do what ever possible to be the winners at the end of the night.

The teams had almost similar seasons this year but while the 12th spot in Premiership for Fulham can be described as “expected” we can not claim the same for Atletico where their 9th spot is certainly a below-par performance. However, the Spanish team has a chance to win a European trophy and a domestic title as they will play against Sevilla for the Spanish Cup final trophy.

Atletico’s strength is without any doubt their attack. Having in their roster quality players like Reyes, Forlan and Aguero can damage any team (Liverpool was their last victim). Fulham will try firstly to cover their back by deploying a 4-5-1 formation in order to make the passing towards Forlan and Aguero difficult. Atletico expects a lot of their key players such as Forlan and Aguero. Forlan is lethal into the box and Aguero posses great dribbling and pace. Reyes will play just behind them as a third attacker while the passing game will always begin from Garcia and Simao. However, the weakness of the team is their central defenders and this is what Fulham will try to take advantage of.
