UEFA Europa League Day 5

The fifth day of UEFA Europa League will be played on December 2nd and December 3rd 2009. This should be one of the most exciting match days of the recent history of UEFA Europa League as many teams have their last chance to battle for qualification.
On Wednesday 2nd of December 2009 there will be the following matches:
Group A:
FC Timişoara – AFC Ajax
RSC Anderlecht – NK Dinamo Zagreb
A quite straight forward group with the favorites of Ajax and Anderlecht spotted on the first and second position both having 8 points. Dinamo Zagreb is third with 3 points and Timişoara has just 2 points.
If Ajax and Anderlecht draw or win today then they get the 2 tickets from this group and the last day matches will have no meaning at all.
Group B:
Valencia CF – LOSC Lille Métropole
SK Slavia Praha – Genoa CFC
Group B is quite complicated as Lille leads with 7 points. On the second and third position we find Valencia and Genoa both with 6 points. On the last place is Slavia Praha with only 2 points.
This match day is extremely important for all the teams on Group B as the results will either secure their positions regarding qualification of the next stage round or they will lose the chance to battle for qualification at the last game.
Group C:
Celtic FC – Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC
Hamburg SV – SK Rapid Wien
Hapoel Tel-Aviv is the leader of the group with 9 points. Hamburg is on second place with 7 points. On third place there is Rapid Wien and Celtic is last with just 2 points.
This is the last chance for Celtic and Rapid. They need only win if they want to hope for a ticket for the next UEFA Europa League round. On the other hand, Hapoel needs only a draw to qualify. Also, if Hamburg wins today then they qualify as well.

Group G:
FC Salzburg – S.S. Lazio
PFC Levski Sofia – Villarreal CF
Salzburg is the boss at group G. It occupies the first place with 4 wins in 4 matches. They already got 12 points and they have secured already not only to progress to the next stage, but also the first place (most likely as they only need a point). Villarreal and Lazio have 6 points each while Levski is last without any points yet.
Salzburg needs only one point tonight against Lazio. On the other hand, the Italian team needs 2 wins at the last 2 matches in order to be 100% sure that they have qualified. Of course, if Villarreal will not be able to win today, then it seems that they will not be able to continue at next group stage.
Group H:
FC Sheriff – FC Steaua Bucureşti
FC Twente – Fenerbahçe SK
Fenerbahçe has 9 points, Twente is on second spot with 7, Sheriff is third with 4 points and at the last place is Steaua with 2 points.
This is the chance of FC Sheriff to battle until last day matches for qualification. They have to win against Steaua and climb up to 7 points. A tough match will be played today between Twente and Fenerbahçe. They both need the three win points but Fenerbahçe will be satisfied also with a draw as they will play the last game at home.
Group I:
FC BATE Borisov – SL Benfica
AEK Athens FC – Everton
Benfica is first with 9 points. On second position there is Everton with 6 points. On the third and fourth position there is BATE and AEK both having 4 points each.
This is the last chance for BATE and AEK if they want to preserve their hopes for next round qualification. On the other hand, Benfica will be satisfied with a draw. The same rule applies for Everton as well.
