UEFA EUROPA League – Day 3

Day number 3 on the UEFA EUROPA League with 48 teams battling hard for the win points. In some groups the sitiation seems to clear out already however nothing can be predicted for sure as there is only 2 teams with 9 points – 3 wins in a row.
In 1st group Ajax won the Dynamo Zagreb in the Netherlands with a score 2-1 and in combination with the tie of Anderlecht in Romania towards Timisoara, climbed to first place on the side of the Belgians, having each of 5 points.
In 2nd group the Lille prevailed on Genoa with 3-0. This result brought the French team to top the group as Valencia failed to overcome the resistance of Slavia Prague staying in 1-1 with the Czechs in Mestagia.
In 3rd group, the big derby between Celtic vs Hamburg, Celtic lost with 1-0. In the other game Hapoel Tel Aviv scored 5 times against Rapid Vienna winning with 5-1 and now share the firstposition of the group with Hamburg. Each team has 6 points.
On group 4 Sporting Lisbon has 3 wins in a row, this time against Ventspils. A Shock defeat for Hertha Berlin. This time they lost 1-0 against the Dutch Herenfeen.
In 5th group an away win for Basel in Bulgaria against CSKA Sofia, with a 2-0 and climp up to thefirst place in the group after the draw in London between Fulham and Roma. The Italians managed to steal the victory from Fulham with a late equaliser.
On group 6 Panathinaikos struggled to overcome a battling Sturm Graz with 1-0. Second victory for Galatasaray with a comfortable 4-1 on Dinamo Bucharest.
In the 7th group, Lazio beat Villarreal with 2-1. Salzburg occupies the top spot on group after the win with 1-0 against Levski.
On 8th group Twente lost from Sheriff with 2-0. Now the Moldovans have chances to qualify to the next stage.Second win in a row for Fenerbahce in Bucharest against Dinamo.
AEK was unlucky against BATE Borisov and was defeated eventualy by 2-1 for group 9. AEK Athens finished the match with 9 players. On the other group match Benfica playing impressive football in the second half demolished Everton with 5-0 and grabbed the top spot of the 9th group.
In the 10th group Shakhtar Donetsk once again scored 4 goals against Toulouse. Bruges managed an easy victory over Partizan.
In the 11th group PSV Eindhoven win Copenhagen with the narrow 1-0. Sparta Prague win comfortably Cluj.
In the 12th group Werder Bremen tied with FK Austria. In the San Mames Bilbao beat National.
