roma-panathinaikos-uefa-europa-leagueRoma is facing Panathinaikos tonight at 18:00 GMT for the second leg of Europa League. Just a week ago we watched an exciting match between those two great teams where Panathinaikos managed to prevail by a 3-2 score as the Greek team scored 2 goals in the last five minutes.

Although Roma is a better team than Panathinaikos this is a difficult match to predict as both teams will do whatever possible for the qualification to the next stage. Roma’s stadium Olympico, is expected to be half packed where 40,000 people will watch the match. Among them, there will be around 7,000 Greek supporters.

Roma is currently at the third spot in the Italian first division league with a 9 points margin above 4th Juventus and it is clear that will participate to next year’s champion league. Roma’s manager Ranieri will not have the services of Totti, Toni and Pizarro. They are holding an excellent home record both in domestic and European tournaments with 14 wins and just 2 defeats (11-0-2 in Italian championship and 3-0-0 in Europa league matches). The team scores quite easily and their favorite score is the 2-0.

On the other hand, Panathinaikos will play in full squad against Roma with the 3-2 score of the first match as a shield. The team currently leads the Greek Superleague standings but the latest results have cast doubts regarding the chances of the team to win the title. However, everyone in Panathinaikos realize that this is an excellent opportunity to move a step further to UEFA Europa League tournament.

Roma will try to dominate the match from early stages but without leaving their defense uncovered. Most probably we will see an even, low score game, where the ball will be played mainly in the midfield. Both teams have great European experience and they will try to lead the game there they want to.

The online sports books have Roma as clear favorites to win this one as they offer the home win down to 1.40 but our analysis does not match their statistics. The draw is the most likely result for this one but knowing the two teams the most secure bet prediction we can offer is the Less than 2.5 goals. This bet is offered around 2.00.

If you would like to risk a little more then the correct score of 0-0(9.00), 1-1(8.50), 1-0(6.50) or 0-1(15.00) will give you sufficient cover. Another very good offer is also the double chance of X2 where you can find it near 3.00.
