UEFA Champions League Draw

Today, December 18th, the Champions League first knockout round draw took place in Nion in Switzerland. The teams that finish on first position on the group stage entered to one pot while all the second placed teams on the other pot. That means that teams that finished on first place on group stage of Champions League will not play against each other on this stage. In addition, they will play the second leg matches at home.
This year UEFA has decided to change the number of matches that will be played each day. Therefore, two matches will be played on 16th of February and two matches on 17th of February. The second leg matches will be played at 9th and 10th March 2010. Two more matches for the first leg of Champions League First Knockout Stage will be played on 23rd and 24th of February. The second leg matches will be played at 16th and 17th March 2010.
