Schumacher to test GP2 car – Formula 1
Posted on January 11, 2010 by Harry
FIA approved the request of Mercedes for Michael Schumacher test a GP2 car. Michael was not in a high profile racing car for almost 3 years now. After Felipe Massa’s accident, Schumacher tried to drive a two years old Ferrari car last September but he was not able to handle the neck stress due to his current (that time) neck injury after a motorbike accident. GP2 car will be provided by the English “Super Nova” and the testing will take place on the Grand Prix circuit of Jerez this Tuesday and Thursday.
US F1 signs team manager
US F1 team might not yet have announced any pilots but they hired a team manager. John Anderson is the new team manager of US F1 and the team principle Ken Anderson had only the best words to say in order to describe the character of his new team member. In the development part, the US F1 cars managed to get the green light from FIA for further developing after they successfully passed the high demanding crash tests.
Sporting director Peter Windsor stated that will be on the Bahrain starting grid despite the rumors for the opposite. The team is looking to recruit 2 racing drivers that will help the newly created racing team to further develop the car by offering important and accurate feedback through the racing tests. Their thoughts are to secure one American driver and one experienced driver that will help them set up the car. USF1 is one of the racing teams that ex-Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve hopes to secure a seat on as Jacque is a high profile experienced driver with fans and supporters across the world.
