Premier League – Birmingham Vs Manchester United
Posted on January 8, 2010 by Margaret
A full match day is planned for the 9th, the 10th and the 11th of January 2010 for the 21st day of the Premier League. We do not know yet which of the following matches will be played eventually due to the extremely bad weather conditions which are at this point jeopardizing the flow of the schedule. The decision for each match will be held a few hours before the event and it is responsibility of the referee to allow or not the matches to be played unless weather conditions are so bad that do not allow transportation.
On January 9th the following matches are scheduled:
Birmingham – Manchester Utd
Wigan – Aston Villa
Burnley – Blackburn
Hull – Chelsea
Sunderland – Bolton * last minute info: match postponed
Fulham – Portsmouth * last minute info: match postponed
Arsenal – Everton
On January 10th the following matches are scheduled:
West Ham – Wolverhampton
Liverpool – Tottenham
On January 11th the following matches are scheduled:
Manchester City-Blackburn
Birmingham – Manchester United :
Manchester United will travel to Birmingham for the 21st match day of Premier League. This is a tough challenge for Man U as this year Birmingham has proven to be very strong at their home. They have managed to secure 5 wins and 3 draws so far while the suffered only 2 defeats. At home they have scored 8 goals and conceded just 5. They are currently on the 8th position with 32 points and now it is more clear than ever that they can challenge for the UEFA Europa League ticket. Manchester United is currently on 2nd position with 43 points and they want to stay in touch with the top. Their away record is puzzling with 6 wins 0 draws and 4 defeats so far. Goals is something that comes very easily as they have managed to scored 21 times on away matched while they have conceded 10. If the weather conditions are bad then this will benefit Birmingham as they are a more tough side than Manchester. I see a game with very few opportunities and even fewer goals. The match goes to draw with under 2.5 goals. First round match ended with a Manchester united win with just 1-0. As you can see the online sportsbetting sites have as favorite Manchester United and the under 2.5 as the most possible result.
