Has Y8 Closed Its Doors?

The world’s largest free games directory y8.com seems to have closed its doors to players since late last week as after a thread on a popular gaming forum followed a news post on Monday which confirmed that Y8 will most likely close its doors after allegations that it has a direct relationship with pornographic related spam emails which members of y8 have been receiving.
The popular free flash games site (y8.com) which has been online since the early conception of the internet and is traced to have more than 16 million monthly users which obviously will start looking for a new gaming home if the popular site remains closed permanently.
We have tried researching the issue further but there is no official announcement besides the forum thread and the news post that followed from a respected gaming directory which announced that y8 will most likely remain closed after fears of lawsuits and cease of earnings from advertising after amid speculations of breaching its privacy policy in regards to site members.
