Hamburg-V-WolfsburgTonight at 19:30 GMT Hamburg will host the match against Wolfsburg for the 20th match day of German Bundesliga.

Hamburg is currently on the 5th position on Bundesliga standings with 34 points after 19th matches. Their home record is 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. They scored 17 goals while they conceded 8. In their last game they lost from Dortmund with 1-0 away from home. On the other hand, Wolfsburg is currently on the 10th position with 24 points. Their away record is 3 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats while they scored 13 times and conceded 14. In their last match they suffered a home defeat by Cologne with a 2-3 score.

Hamburg is coming to this match with high confidence that will be able to secure the win. Bruno Labbadia ( Hamburg’s manager) will not have the services of Eljero Elia who is not totally fit as the injury on his knee is still persisting.

However, the main issue that everybody talks in Hamburg is the signing of the 33 years old Dutch striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy. Labbadia stated that van Nistelrooy will not play to this game as he is not ready yet to participate to a match due to the luck of physical training. Bayer Munich president Franz Beckenbauer stated that Hamburg can now really challenge for the championship as van Nistelrooy is a world class striker that can make the difference on the pitch.

Completely opposite is the news to Wolfsburg. Last years champions have sucked their manager Armin Veh due to a streak of bad results. At the bench will be the reserves’ team coach Lorenz-Gunther Kostner who is not expected to make any significant changes to the starting eleven. Kostner backed-up his players by stating that although they worked very hard were not rewarded for their efforts. In addition to the bad morale of the team, Kostner has to face the absent of his first choice goalkeeper Diego Benaglio.

Our prediction is that Hamburg will be able to win this one quite easily. Expect a high scoring game over 2.5 goals as Wolfsburg team will not be able to produce any resistance. In the first round match, Hamburg managed to secure an away win with a score of 2-4.
