Champions League Day 6 – Tuesday matches

On Tuesday December 8, 2009 and on Wednesday December 9 the final matches of the group stage of champions’ league will be played. The menu consists of many interesting meetings as many teams will fight for first or second place, others for a qualification ticket for the next stage of champions league while others have a last chance to occupy the third place and qualify for the Europa league.

Group A:
Juventus – Bayern München
Maccabi Haifa FC – FC Girondins de Bordeaux
Bordeaux has already qualified and also occupies the first spot of the group. This is not something that will change by any outcome on this last match against Maccabi Haifa. Bayern has to win if they want to progress to the knockout stage of champions league. On the other hand, Juventus will be more than pleased with a draw and they will try to benefit from the open game of Bayern.
Group B:
Beşiktaş JK – PFC CSKA Moskva
VfL Wolfsburg – Manchester United FC
Manchester is first with 10 points. On the second place is Wolfsburg and CSKA Moskva with 7 points each. On last place is Beşiktaş with 4 points. Manchester has already qualified. Wolfsburg needs a better result than CSKA because if they both win then Manchester and CSKA get the two tickets for the next champions league stage. On the other match Besiktas can get the third place if they win with 1-0 or by two goals margin.

FC Zürich – AC Milan
Olympique de Marseille – Real Madrid CF
Real Madrid is first with 10 points, Milan is second with 8 points, Marseille is third with 7 points and at last place is Zürich with 3 points.
